<description>Access to the Bakan is indeed easier although older visitors and the handicapped will find the steep (approximately 56 degree climb) difficult. At 2pm on a Sunday the line to access was not very long. The visitor is issued a tag enclosed in plastic with instructions as to the rules of access, probably not read, and limits visits to 30 minutes, which may create a problem of enforceability. The staff distributing the tags and information was attentive. There was staff at the Bakan, however they were more guardian than guide. The tags are collected when you arrive at the bottom of the steps. I can see the possibility of some conjestion, and a potentially longer wait than anticipated. Large tours on a tight schedule may encourage the visitor to skip this most valuable and educational attraction.
It is however worth the wait.</description>
